A Guide to Systemic Racism, as it relates to America’s Healthcare System. A summary of Jamila Taylor’s 2019 report, “Racism, Inequality, and Healthcare for African Americans.” After the murder of George Floyd, I turned to evidence based, peer-reviewed studies to further my understanding of the racial inequalities inherent to America’s healthcare system. Deepening my awareness of systemic racism while simultaneously learning After Effects, led to the creation of this 7 minute animation.
