Death Drag

The dark shadow of 2020, mixed with my love for drag culture, inspired this animated short, “Death Drag.” The story follows Xandra Xtravaganza, a queen who travels far to fight for her small Planet’s legacy in the infamous Death Drag Games on the capital planet, Kont. When Xandra beats her fiercest opponent, Miss Boom Doom, reigning leader of Planet Kont, Mistress MindFuck, cannot accept the results, and seeks revenge. It is up to Xandra’s drag sister, Kid Kookie Snack to seek justice. Death Drag is inspired by the feeling of having no control of your world. It’s the feeling of being lost in a powerful system, and losing hope. It’s the fear that even small victories cannot lead to real change, because the system is not built for the underdog.
